About

Holds an M.A. from NYU (Educational Theater, Dramatic Writing, and Performance) and a B.F.A in Theater Arts from The University of The Arts. He's an award winning performer & writer with awards such as 2010 Lorraine Hansberry – Nia Award Recipient, 2014 Writers Place Poetry Review Runner-up, a 2008 Midtown International Theater Festival Nominee for Outstanding Performance in his self-written & self-produced Solo-Show FlagBoy, a Capital Fringe Festival 2009 “Best of Fest” award for FlagBoy, and has been featured on NPR.  He has also appeared in television and the Broadway stage in shows such as "Criminal Minds", “Law&Order: SVU”, Susan Stroman and Harry Connick Jr.'s Thou Shalt Not (produced by Lincoln Center Theater) and the Broadway smash hit The Lion King.  Embracing all of who he is, Cornelius was featured in the Logo and Gilead sponsored PSA: “I AM LIVING MY TRUTH”, which aired on MTV’s Logo Network during season 3 of "RuPaul's DragRace".  


 After a busy career in NYC Cornelius now lives in Los Angeles, CA where he's still pursuing his creative life along with being one of the top Yoga Teachers in the LA area, and runs a Creative Arts & Healing Program at a local treatment center.
